Full job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of cleaning staff across assigned areas.
- Inspect cleaned areas to ensure compliance with established cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Assign tasks to cleaners and ensure completion within required timeframes.
- Train new staff in cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and equipment usage.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and place orders when necessary.
- Respond to client requests and resolve any issues or complaints professionally.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules and documentation.
- Report maintenance or repair issues to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in cleaning or housekeeping, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
