About The Job:

he Procurement Officer is responsible for managing all day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring the timely availability of materials, tools, and consumables required for operations. This role plays a critical part in cost control, supplier management, inventory tracking, and supporting operational efficiency across maintenance, MEP, civil, and AC teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Procurement OperationsManage daily purchasing requirements for maintenance, MEP, civil, and AC teams.Source materials efficiently based on approved requests and operational needs.Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites or workshops.

2. Supplier Management & NegotiationNegotiate competitive prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers.Maintain and regularly update a database of approved and preferred vendors.Conduct price comparisons and identify cost-saving opportunities.Source alternative suppliers to improve lead times and reduce costs when needed.

3. Workshop Consumables ManagementMonitor and manage all workshop consumables.Ensure availability of high-usage materials at all times.Control usage to prevent waste, misuse, or overconsumption.

4. Storekeeping & Inventory ControlAct as the main storekeeper for tools, materials, and consumables.Track material usage per job and maintain accurate records.Ensure leftover materials are returned, properly stored, and reused where applicable.Maintain organized storage systems with proper labeling and categorization.

5. Inventory Tracking & ReportingMaintain up-to-date inventory records for all stock items.Monitor stock levels and initiate timely reordering.Prepare and submit monthly inventory and stock reports to management.

6. Cost Control & DocumentationEnsure all purchases align with approved budgets and job requirements.Manage petty cash related to procurement activities responsibly.Submit invoices, receipts, and supporting documents to Accounts in a timely manner.Maintain clear and organized procurement records for audit and tracking purposes.

7. Coordination & CommunicationCoordinate closely with technicians, supervisors, and operations teams to understand daily requirements.Provide clear updates on order status, delivery timelines, and any delays.Support operational efficiency by minimizing technician time spent on sourcing materials.

Requirements

Min 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in maintenance, construction, or MEP environments.

Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).

Basic computer skills (MS Excel, email communication, reporting).

Valid UAE manual driving license (mandatory).

Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent procurement needs efficiently.
